Jamal Moss Mix

Honestly I haven't even listened to this yet. I am more or less posting this to remind myself to download and listen to this. But seriously, this man is awesome. Moss aka Heiroglyphic Being is one of our fav's here at Pirate Programming. Count Jack says of the man "he is a really nice guy" as well. I am sure the mix will be sick. It's at the bottom of the article. Peace.

Fireworks for the Fourth

Vice Magazine is something I have kept my eye on for quite sometime. If my memory serves me correctly, I think my first encounter with the magazine was at Untitled clothing store in Chicago when it was still on Clark right next to Gramaphone Records. Basically, Vice never ceases to amaze me with their ability to stay up on what is fresh and new whether it be in the arts, culture, fashion or topics of international relevance.

They have many, many absolutely mind blowing documentaries covering topics like cannibalistic rebels in Africa, a Kubric-ian look into North Korea, donkey sex in Columbia, LSD palaces, and the world's most dangerous city, Karachi. I would post all of them but you might as well just subscribe to their channel; they are cutting edge shit. These two new releases I found particularly eye opening. Both documentaries deal with the ease in which weapons proliferate in the global market. To summarize, the docs depict how any Joe Schmoe can buy a weapon that could alter the course of life on this planet as we know it. They are both pretty surreal and a little scary. And I'm not trying to be some milk-toast hippie posting this so close to the fourth of July, but it is something to think about. Be aware. Peace
