New Track

LO

A new song i did as a one off. Not part of an EP and I didn't do any remixes for it. If someone wants to remix it, let me know. I can send stems.

Patchbay

Since i purchased a MIDI patchbay, i've been having a rebirth of sorts in music making. I'm reminded of my days in high school where i would pump out beat tapes solely using an MPC 2000. The patchbay has allowed me to finally take full advantage of my full studio. If you have a lot of gear like me, you gotta have a patchbay that gives you control of at least 8 instruments. I had been syncing some of my instruments via the Protools 002 interface and others via a cheapy 2x2 midi interface. Don't do that. It's stupid. You will encounter phase issues which will effect the volume and clarity of your entire mix. I've never a forum that has addressed this but for me, it was huge. It changed everything. Besides the clarity, i can now effect instruments on the fly and manipulate the loops in real time. It makes a difference. Trust me, whether you realize it or not, you can feel the difference between a track that was made via copy and pasting vs a track that was done through manipulation of instruments live. peep it

This is the first mix i've done in a LONG time, partially because of the fact i haven't had 2 turntables. I bought some new gear (Numark 4Trak) and eager to dive back into one of my life long passions. The mix is all over the place, and considering i did this within a week of owning it, i think it is a sign of good things to come.

Viddy well, little brother. Viddy Well.

Amazing, beautiful video from a label that we really like.

Boiler Room Karenn Mix

Pirate Programming golden child, Blawan, does it again on this banger of a mix. This time he pairs with fellow Londonite, Pariah to form the massive Karenn. Expect beats that are hard, dark and banging like a Chicago P Stone. Not for the faint of heart!

Matthew Jonson Mutek 2005 Mix

Now on the flip, a mix from a couple years ago that is drenched in soaring, galactic melodies. In contrast to the Karenn mix, the Matthew Jonson mix is smothered in analog beauty that seems to go on for infinity. I feel there are a couple of missteps on this mix, but when it is good, it's amazing. And hey, it's free
